Chaser is a border collie dog and the companion animal of retired psychology professor John Pilley. Chaser can distinguish verbs from nouns and knows over 1,000 words.
Whie Chaser has been called "the smartest dog in the world," some authorities believe Chaser's aptitude is not unusual, and that what is unusual is that she was trained like a human child.
